Point traced out on steel flat stock.   
Point blades cut.   
Tang cut out.   
Blades sharpened.  Hammered and then filed,   
Flat Stock, Broadhead and mounted Broadhead.   
Broadhead set into a shaft.

5/16 - 3/8" Steel Rod
Heat in Forge
1st Heat - begin squishing.  
2nd Heat - Moving back on shaft.  
Dimple with chisel.  
'Square up' sides.  
Begin to bend into long cone.  
Cone almost closed.  
Hot cut 1 to 1 1/2" above closed cone.  
Heat to Cherry-red plus.

Begin hammering point.
 
Another Heat! 

This maybe necessary 2 -3 times!
 
Finished Bodkin Point!  
A few more points.  

 

Making Points
Your Basic Teaspoon!
Gently flatten on Anvil  -  Can be heated if necessary!
Mark the 'blade' edges...  
Cut in lines with:
1] a Shears
2] a Chisel
3]  or a Hack saw
 
A 'basic' cut spoon Broadhead!
